“Nothing for Our Land” – Impact of Land Confiscation on Farmers in Myanmar

This document outlines the historical contexts of land and farming rights in Myanmar. It then describes inadequate notice and compensation practices, lack of access to healthcare, and arrests that farmers in Myanmar, especially indigenous populations, have experienced. It concludes with several recommendations to the Government of Myanmar regarding displacements, redress, compensation, legal aid, arrests, education, and intimidation.
