Review of Recent Developments in the Cordillera Provinces: Northern Luzon

First time a member of the indigenous people of the Phillipines addressed the WGIP about the treatment and oppression of the Igorot people. Problems addressed included: the violation of our people’s rights to our ancestral domain, the denial and deprivation of our ancestral rights, the non-recognition of the persistant viability of our indigenous socio-political structures and political misrepresentation. Along with problems possible actions are included for consideration.
